The Problem
David Moss Corporation (DAMOS) manufactures and supplies PE and PVC pipes and fittings and underground ventilation systems to Australian and international mining, industrial, civil utilities, government and agricultural sectors.
With a view to future expansion, DAMOS identified a need to replace their Main Switchboard (MSB) so that additional equipment could be installed as required.
As a valued Power Factor Correction client of Quality Energy, DAMOS requested a proposal for a new, tailored MSB solution from us.
The Solution
Quality Energy, in collaboration with Dara Switchboards and Evergreen Electrical, proposed, delivered and commissioned two 3,200A Eaton main switchboards (MSBs).
Taking advantage of the Christmas period shutdown period, our team worked through the break to meet a tight project deadline.
To support the installation, a large cable pit was excavated and reinforced with concrete, ensuring safe and relable access to the cabling beneath the MSBs.
