The Problem
Approximately 25 years ago, when Quality Energy was still Eastern District Electrics, we won a contract installing third-party Power Factor Correction equipment at two of Bulla Dairy Foods’ plants in Colac.
Over the many years of partnership, we serviced the equipment regularly. Then, in 2021 it was identified that the existing equipment needed to be upgraded to Quality Energy’s own locally manufactured and bespoke Power Factor Correction and Active Harmonic Filters to address poor power factor and harmonics in their power supplies.
The Solution
Quality Energy designed, manufactured and commissioned 1 x 625kVAr and 2 x 350kVAr Power Factor Correction (PFC) units, as well as 1 x 600A and 3 x 300A tailored Active Harmonic Filters (AHF) for installation at both sites.
