The Problem



A large electricity cable manufacturer with a variety of state of the art, automated machinery, had poor rolling power factor of .88 and .89 and needed two Power Factor Correction Units.

 

The Solution

Quality Energy had to consider the structures and surroundings, including a lack of spare circuit brakers/space in the switchboard. Two Power Factor Correction Units, one 500kVAR and one 200kVAR were customised for each transformer and installed. Cables had to be fully enclosed as connections were made directly to the busbar and connection modules were included in the manufacturing process to ensure the systems were pleasant to look at, as well as compliant.
