Accredited and accountable

We are a NETCC Approved Seller with SAA-accredited designers and installers. Your system is engineered and installed to current standards, with consumer protections that keep your interests front and centre.

Designs, grid submissions and test results are documented so you know what has been installed, how it should perform, and how to support it over time.

35 years electrical engineering experience

Deep electrical and power quality experience

Quality Energy has more than 35 years’ experience in commercial and industrial electrical engineering and power quality. We understand switchboards, protection, motors, refrigeration and process loads as well as solar and batteries.

This reduces surprises during installation and helps prevent issues such as nuisance tripping, poor power factor or harmonics after your system goes live.

commercial grade solar power systems

Designed for Sydney and NSW conditions

Sydney and NSW have their own DNSP rules, export settings and connection processes. Weather can swing from hot coastal summers to storms and high winds.

We design systems that suit local requirements, roof structures and environmental conditions. This makes grid connection smoother and helps your system stand up to local weather over its full life.

Integrated power-quality solutions

Busy Sydney sites often work near their supply capacity. Adding solar can reveal underlying power-quality problems if not planned correctly.

We can integrate:

  • Power Factor Correction
  • Active Harmonic Filters
  • Static Var Generators

These solutions help you reduce kVA demand, free up switchboard capacity and protect sensitive equipment. Motors, HVAC, lifts and compressors run more smoothly and reliably.

Take a Look at Some of Our Commercial Solar Installations in Sydney

First Steps Early Learning Academy – Moorebank, NSW

24.2 kW rooftop commercial solar PV system

Quality Energy designed and installed a 24.2kW solar system at First Steps Early Learning Academy in Moorebank, NSW. The system uses 55 x 440W Risen Energy N-Type panels and a 20kW Sungrow inverter. It is expected to produce around 32,059kWh of renewable energy per year, avoiding about 21.5 tonnes of CO₂ annually and delivering an estimated 60% bill saving and strong ROI for the centre.

Explore & Develop – Baulkham Hills, NSW

26.4 kW rooftop commercial solar PV system

Explore & Develop Baulkham Hills wanted to cut electricity costs and reduce their carbon footprint while educating children about clean energy. We maximised the available roof space to design a 26.4kW system using 60 x 440W Risen Energy panels and a 20kW Sungrow inverter. The system is estimated to generate about 34,752kWh per year, saving roughly 53% on electricity bills and avoiding 24.3 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

What You Can Expect When You Work With Quality Energy for Your Solar Planning & Installation

solar pricing icon

Clear numbers before you decide

We review your interval data, tariffs, roof or ground conditions and operating hours. You receive a straightforward summary of forecast savings, payback period, carbon reduction and maintenance assumptions. The analysis is easy to share with boards, finance teams, landlords or investors.

A design that fits your site

We model system yield, self-consumption, export limits and future expansion options for your Sydney or NSW site. Your system size is matched to your load profile and roof layout, rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

financing options for commercial solar

Finance options that match your cash flow

We can structure commercial solar projects to suit different funding preferences:

  • Upfront CAPEX for fastest lifetime savings and full asset control.
  • Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) that treat solar as an operating expense with little or no upfront cost. Read our PPA guide for more information.
  • Loans or leases that spread repayments over time.

Our aim is to align repayments and incentives with bill savings so the project is cash-flow friendly early on.

Commercial & Industrial Solar Design and Installations

Ideal for offices, warehouses, schools, healthcare and light industrial sites with daytime loads. Export-aware designs help you comply with DNSP rules while prioritising on-site consumption. You reduce energy spend without needing to change daily operations. Learn more about the differences between commercial and industrial solar.

Solar & Battery Storage Systems

Batteries can store daytime excess solar, reduce demand charges and support critical loads during brief outages.

This is valuable for data centres, healthcare, cold storage and other sites in Sydney that rely on continuous operation.

Power Quality Improvements for Solar Energy

For sites with lifts, HVAC plant, motors, variable speed drives or sensitive electronics, power quality is crucial.

We can combine solar with PFC, AHF and SVG to:

  • Stabilise voltage and current during load changes
  • Improve power factor and reduce kVA-based charges
  • Limit harmonics and protect sensitive equipment

Frequently Asked Questions

What is commercial solar?

Commercial solar is a solar power system designed for businesses, organisations and industrial sites, rather than homes. It usually involves roof-mounted or ground-mounted solar PV arrays sized to match daytime loads (often 10 kW up to several hundred kW or more), integrated with your switchboards and metering, and sometimes combined with batteries and power-quality equipment to reduce bills, emissions and kVA demand.

Are there government incentives for commercial solar installations in Sydney?

Sydney businesses installing commercial solar can access federal Renewable Energy Target incentives, usually as Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) for systems up to 100kW, or Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) for bigger projects. For very large industrial emitters (e.g. big manufacturing or mining facilities in NSW emitting over 90,000 tCO₂-e a year), the NSW Government’s High Emitting Industries (HEI) grant can co-fund decarbonisation projects such as electrification and onsite renewables. The HEI program is planned to reopen in 2026, with up to $305 million in grants and a requirement for applicants to contribute at least 50% of project costs.

Can solar create power quality problems at our site?

There can be power quality problems with renewable energy. Our engineers configure inverter modes for compliance and stability. Where needed, we add PFC, AHF or SVG to manage power factor, harmonics and voltage. This helps keep motors, refrigeration, lifts and IT equipment running reliably.

What payback can we expect in Sydney?

Many commercial systems see simple paybacks in the 3 to 6 year range. Actual results depend on your energy use pattern, tariff structure, available roof area and any batteries or power-quality upgrades included in the project. We model your case so you can make a well-informed investment decision.

We Work With a Range of Sydney Businesses & Industries

We work with a wide range of organisations, including:

  • Early learning and education providers
  • Healthcare and aged care facilities
  • Warehousing, logistics and cold storage
  • Manufacturing and engineering sites
  • Retail and multi-site franchise groups
  • Commercial offices and mixed-use buildings
  • Industrial landlords focused on tenant retention and ESG

If your site uses significant daytime electricity, we can quickly assess whether solar, batteries and power-quality improvements make sense.
