Quality Energy Awarded 1MW Solar Power Installation Project

Quality Energy • Apr 05, 2023

We are pleased to share that Quality Energy has been awarded a 1MW solar power installation project for one of Australia's premier textile manufacturers.

Located in regional Victoria, Quality Energy is due to begin the installation in April-May 2023.

At Quality Energy, we understand that textile manufacturing is an energy-intensive process. Recognising the impact of rising commercial energy costs on textile mills, Quality Energy approached the client to discuss a tailored solar power solution to reduce their energy costs. After a site visit and an analysis of the client's energy consumption pattern, Quality Energy presented a custom 1MW solar power system proposal and feasibility study. In the proposal, Quality Energy outlined various finance options and included a cost analysis of the solar finance options currently available on the market.

Our customised approach to providing the client with all the technical and financial information meant that the client could readily answer their board of directors' questions. This factor resulted in speedy decision-making to award the solar power installation project to Quality Energy. The client also partnered with one of our solar finance partners, funding their solar power system via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a positive cash-flow outcome.

The 1MW Roof-Mounted Solar Power System comprises 1,851 Risen Solar Panels (540W) and Sungrow 110kW inverter over multiple buildings. It is expected the solar power system will deliver the following benefits:

  • 1,350MWh annual production
  • $5 million projection of benefit over the life of the system
  • 4-5 years payback period
  • 1,150 tonnes of CO2 emission avoided per year

Quality Energy is anticipating handing over the project by the end of the financial year. We look forward to sharing more about the project in the coming months. For timely and instant updates, follow our LinkedIn page!
